Arkview Foundations
Introduction to the Program
We all love being part of a community, and increasingly, we're also involved in online communities. At Safina Society, we want to foster a group of people united by nothing other than the love of deen. Nothing is sweeter than gathering for the sake of Allah and learning how to draw near to Him. The Arkview Foundations Track is for beginners, teaching Arabic, prayer, and Quran from scratch in a lighter manner. There are courses available for all ages - kids, teens, and adults. Stay connected to the deen with loosely organized and relaxed sessions.

Hanafi Fiqh
Mufti Niaz Hannan
Fiqh is a subject that discusses the secondary legal rulings of the Sharī’ah (Sacred Law) that are derived from the (4) detailed sources of Fiqh: The Book of Allāh ﷻ, The Sunnah of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, Ijmā‘ (Consensus), and Qiyās (Analogical Reasoning). In this class, we will be studying the Fiqh rulings of the Ḥanafī Madhhab (School of Thought). The Ḥanafī Madhhab is the most widely followed School of Fiqh in the Ummah among the four Sunni Schools. When Imām Abū Ḥanīfah ؒ was asked, “What is Fiqh?”, he replied, “It is recognizing one’s self, what is beneficial and harmful to it.” Imām al-Shāfi‘ī ؒ said, “Whoever wants to thoroughly study Fiqh, is dependent upon Abū Ḥanīfah ؒ.” We will be studying Al-Fiqh Al-Muyassar (Simplified Fiqh) for Ḥanafī Fiqh of ‘Ibādāt which will cover Ṭahārah (Purification), Ṣalah (Ritual Prayer), Zakah (Charity), Ṣaum (Fasting), and Ḥajj (Pilgrimage).
Malaki Fiqh: Mukhtasar-al-Akhdari
Harun Saleh
In this course, we will be studying the Mukhtasar of Imam al Akhdari as a continuation of a series of commentaries on books in the Maliki Madhab. This book contains issues which the legally responsible Muslim (mukallaf) must know in terms of purification (tahara), salat (prayer) and miscellaneous issues. This class will be used to explain the issues that were not explained in the previous Maliki Fiqh: Al-Ashmawiyya course along with others that were already covered in the previous course but will now be covered in greater detail. In addition, there will be supplementary issues which will be covered at a deeper level than outlined in the supplementary videos from the previous course, with a focus on the history of the development of the Maliki Madhab.
Description of the Prophet ﷺ
Ustadh Tariq Ameer
This class will be on Shama'il Muhamadiyya. It will be a course covering the description of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) using the text by Imam At-Tirmidhi. Students should expect to cover a chapter or part of a chapter (for longer ones) in each class and gain a closer relationship with the beloved of Allah (May Allah bless him and give him peace). For those who complete the course, Imam Tariq will consider conferring on them an Ijaza that goes back to the author himself.

The goal of this course to to get closer to our Lord by getting our Tajwīd game tight. Arabic Grammar
Dr. Shadee Elmasry
If you gave only twenty minutes a week consistently for four years, you would be able to read classical Arabic with understanding. Four years are going to pass anyway, so you might as well pick up reading. The strategy with this course is to put out videos so short, you can watch one during a coffee break, or after dinner. (Teachable has a mobile app too.) We employ repetition, so if you don't get something, don't worry, just keep watching. I'll be posting a video every few days. There will be a grammar section as well as the guided reading sections using the book Stories of the Prophets.
