Arkview Basic

Introduction to the Program

We all love being part of a community, and increasingly, we're also involved in online communities. At Safina Society, we want to foster a group of people united by nothing other than the love of deen. Nothing is sweeter than gathering for the sake of Allah and learning how to draw near to Him. The Arkview Foundations Track is for beginners, teaching Arabic, prayer, and Quran from scratch in a lighter manner. There are courses available for all ages - kids, teens, and adults. Stay connected to the deen with loosely organized and relaxed sessions.

Arabic Grammar

Dr. Shadee Elmasry

If you gave only twenty minutes a week consistently for four years, you would be able to read classical Arabic with understanding. Four years are going to pass anyway, so you might as well pick up reading. The strategy with this course is to put out videos so short, you can watch one during a coffee break, or after dinner. (Teachable has a mobile app too). We employ repetition, so if you don't get something, don't worry, just keep watching. I'll be posting a video every few days. There will be a grammar section as well as the guided reading sections using the book Stories of the Prophets.

Ibn Ashir Part 1: Aqida

Harun Saleh

This class will be the first out of 3 terms going over the poem of Ibn Ashir, Al Murshid al Mueen: a 317 line poem meant to be memorized which goes over basic aqida (beliefs), ritual law (tahara, salat, zakat, sawm, hajj/umrah), and tassawuf. In this term we will study the first 52 lines of the poem focusing on
building the foundations for a student beginning their studies in ‘aqida.

This seven hour course aims to cover the ins and outs of this delicate balance.

This is how the screen looks, as the sections we go over are highlighted and specific words are marked.
