More about our class...
This class is based on the book Jurisprudence of the Prophetic Biography by Sa'id Ramadan al-Bouti. It seeks to derive doctrinal, spiritual, and legal wisdoms from the events of the sira. The course will span this Spring and next Fall. Every class is livestreamed and saved, then uploaded to the student portal using Google Classroom.
Onsite students who register before January 18 will receive their books in their hands on the first day of class. Late registrants as well as online students will need to purchase the book themselves.

At Safina, our goal is to graduate solid individuals, grounded in the fundamentals of the eight sciences (Quran, hadith, usul, Arabic, 'aqida, fiqh, tasawwuf & signs of End Times). 'Uwaylim (meaning small scholar) is a track of ten classes (listed below). Students can enter in at any term. When we cycle back and begin from the 101 again, those who entered half-way will take those classes, thereby completing all ten courses. Fall courses are twelve sessions plus an exam. Grades are documented over the years so that we ensure our students are benefitting and are able to answer key questions and engage in vital discussions.
